Green tea latte: green tea mixed with warm milk
I’m a huge fan of green tea. I like its lighter taste, as compared to its more bitter and darker counterpart. Also, I enjoy knowing that I’m feasting on antioxidants.
My new cold weather favorite? Green tea latte. I can’t find this in all the cafes I frequent, but when I do, I like to splurge. There’s something comforting about a warm mug and sipping the frothy drink. I especially relish the creaminess of the milk (although, truth be told, I’m a little lactose intolerant).
Anyway, this treat is great to warm both my heart and my taste buds!
I wonder if it would be good with coconut milk. How would you make it at home? With powdered matcha or something like that?
You can try this recipe, Nicki: http://www.justonecookbook.com/green-tea-latte/ It’s usually with matcha and milk (or soy milk).
This looks like a drink for St. Patrick’s Day! I often take a Trader Joe’s Chai tea bag and dip into a cup of hot almond milk, tastes delicious.
Ooh, that’s a great idea. Chai with hot almond milk! I also like TJ’s Mango Black Tea.
I’ve never been much of a tea drinker, but I have purchased some tea recently and I’m going to start drinking. There are a lot of healthy benefits to drinking tea, which I do like! The picture of the latte does look tasty! :)
I like tea for a nice caffeine boost. Coffee gets me too jittery.
