Frog cake: frog-shaped pancakes
Spring is here. Flowers burst into bloom, and life abounds. Did you know that some species of frogs start singing with the rise of warm temperatures? In honor of this season, I’m doing a quick post on frog cakes that we ate at Taipei Zoo.
They are classic vanilla-flavored pancakes with a cream filling, a little bit like taiyaki. I think they taste even more delicious because of their cute animal shape.
Happy spring!
Dear Ms. Chow thanks. You are right the other night I heared frogs yelling on a nearby creek for the first time this year. When I got near them, was dark they stopped yelling at the same time.
There are people that actually find frog legs a delicious meal, did you know? However your frog cake on your palm, I don’t see the legs, if a frog leg lover are your customers, you may have to work on your frog cake legs. Do you think so? Just a thought. I don’t eat frog legs, but I sure like to try your frog cakes. Thanks. Happy Easter to you and your family.
Happy Easter to you! I’ve tried frog legs before…not bad, but I’m not a huge fan.
