How much do I love this backdrop for the LA Night How much do I love this backdrop for the LA Night Market series! ❤️

I hope yours is a relaxing one. 💗

I recently picked up the second book in the LA Night Market cozy mystery series by @jenjchow specifically because it was set over Thanksgiving (and I’d read book 1 and I am a big series girlie).

This story is a really nice continuation of the overarching story. I really enjoy the simple writing style, the characters, customs and culture found embedded within the mystery, and the intricate family dynamics. This story has plenty of interesting and tasty dishes and the bond between the cousins in charming.

In this mystery, there is a gathering of the Asian restaurant owners for an association meeting over a hot pot Thanksgiving dinner. When the president receives a shock that ends his life, many present are suspect. Yale and Celine help investigate, all while helping out their neighbors, running their cart in the night market, and dealing with difficult and demanding family members. It’s quick, engaging and a fun, semi-seasonal read. I highly recommend this series.

Are you a cozy mystery reader? If so, which are your favorites? I love that we now have more from different countries and cultures!
